Question GLOVES. What are you using, report in here.

Gloves, what you got, do they work? comfy? did they fall apart? how much? so many questions and soooo much choice out there.
So love your gloves write a review, tell us what you think and post it in here.
Heres some of mine to get things going.

Default Axo Fast Track Gloves.

Start with A for Axo, and no i didnt buy these, they are a "Test Sample".
To start then, all AXO gear is now done by a direct sale website, not in the shops, so go to www.axo-sport.co.uk the current price is £25.30.

So more of a lightweight summer glove (IMO) minimal armour, grip logo on the fore fingers, eye catching colours.

So far only raced twice, really nice light weight gloves, with good feel on the grips, almost forget you have them on as they are very comfy. I think these will end up like my old BG ridge gloves, just worn to death.
Will be nice in the summer, but i will be coming back to these as 2 races is not enough testing, but so far looking good.

Default Spada MX Enduro Gloves

Bit of a bargin here, not sure where you can find these other than through www.dirtbikexpress.co.uk current price is £15.99 yes really !

These are Motorbike gloves and are built heavy when compared to MTB gloves, as you see in the photos they have Kevlar Knuckle's and heavy rubber pads on the fingers, the palm is criss crossed with grip strips, and they have reflective piping as well. Kevlar armour for only £15.99.

So bought 2 pairs 2 years ago as they where so cheap, after a year of use i gave a pair to Dmrlew at Gethin last season as his gloves were in tatters and i opened up my spare pair for the rest of the year and still using them now.
The pair i gave Lew are now shagged, i saw them at the Wentwood race, maybe Lew will add his thoughts on them.

So fit then, well mine where not very comfy to start with, i ended up cutting up a chainstay protecter and using it to pad out the knuckle's after doing this they where fine, when i gave them to Dmrlew i whipped out the pads to put in the new pair, funny thing is Lew found them to fit ok and has not complained about sore knuckles, i guess this is down to different sized and shape hands, lew fits the gloves better than me.
The panels pulled apart when putting the glove on but the stitching never failed or pulled through the material.
They are a bit sweaty in the summer, but a small price to pay for the price and the high level of protection they offer, if i could only afford one pair of gloves i would go for these, they are not perfect, but they have out performed some expensive freeride MTB gloves and outlasted them too, chances are i will still use these for practice session's and other gloves for race runs, and i reckon i will be buying another pair.

Really worth a look, i love them, lets see if Dmrlew will add to this?

Default Thor Phase MX Gloves

Should be able to get these from any bike shop, current RRP is £19.99.
Had these for around 3 years so they are different to the current Phase gloves. Why do they still look good if they are 3 years old ? well i only used them for race runs, and when i started racing the Dragons i went to the Spadas for more armour. Middle of the road gloves, heavy duty armour get Spada, middle weight get Thor, lightweight go for Axo.

So to the Thors, really nice fit, light rubber armour pads on the fingers and back of the hand, not too hot in the summer and wearable well into winter, again nice feel on the bars with good grip, really should wear them more often.

Default Specialized BG Ridge Gloves

Think there dead now, really worn them to death, had them for years and used them for everything. Full finger Xc glove should be able to get anywhere, not sure on price think it was £20-£25.

Cut the fingers down as they had worn off/out, really nice light weight gloves, forget you have them on sometimes, Xc only no armour.
The BG in the title stands for Body Geometry, see the black pad on the palm thats the BG bit, the pad is there to protect and cushion the nerve's around the wrist on long Xc rides.
Cant think of any thing bad to say about them, not sure how long i have had them, at least 5 years of hard use, should bin them but they are just hanging around, keep trying to find a reason to wear them, but they are now past it.

If Xc is your thing then very good !

Default fox unibomber

i have ridden fox unibombers for nearly a year now and they are finally starting to die!
they are good because they onlt have the outside two knuckes carbon-ed, so they feel light and flexible whilst still providing excellent protection!
i highly recommend them because they fit my XL hands very well although they are rather tight after a wash!

Just bought some Oakley Manual gloves.

Nice and thin with no padding on the palm, good ventilation on the top and very breathable.

Went out in the beating sun today and hands stayed fresh.

I usually wear a small but had to go for a medium in these, they dont have and velcro just a tight stretchy wristband with a clarino pull tab.

Fit is real tight and comfy and should hold out some time before they start to bagout.

£19.99

From me.

Default Gloves for different occations

I use Fox Incline gloves for XC which i have had for a couple of months, they are soooo comfy over a short ride but after a long day you can feel your palms starting to wear out.
on freeride days i use Scott DH Radicals which i have had for over a year now, they offer great protection on the back and outside of your hand although initially the carbon plate on the outside, i feel, effected the grip on the bars leading to a bit of a strain on my hand. i have just got used to this now and it is not as much of an issue.

fox gloves - around £20
Scott gloves - £30 - £35 i think
