Now changed to 08 uplift days, mostly for the summer racing. More dates will be added as and when Jason releases them.

Sun 6 July Uplift ay Mynydd Du
12/13 July Welsh Champs / Unofficial Champs at Mynydd Du

no practice dates for mountain ash yet.

Just about to post my entry for Rheola on sat 8th Dec, and yes i will be on the bouncy bike as the Ht is still in bits. It comes down to cost, go ride or build the bike. Anyway as billy put it "Rheola is a beast of a track, a mans track" if your not normal look for a time of 4.20 - 4.30 ish if your like me and fall off a lot call it 5 - 6 mins. put it this way, we all got down apart from ben who binned it in practice, while he was warming up the nurses at A+E steve peat goes and bins it too, so to sum up if your super quick look out, if your slower you have nothing to worry about, until you hit the starwars section..
The mix of people is more Riders than Racers so it should be quite laid back, dont expect toilets or a burger wagon although there might be a burger wagon in the layby at the entrance to the woods but best to bring food.
Caught up with Jon at cwm carn last week he hopes to be there with Nathan Ball in tow so there should be some of us kicking around.

I found out what happened while riding at cwm carn last week, but as its gossip and might not be true, i cant really say everything i was told. lets say someone has, who wont be named, carved out a new natural track at abercarn and the F C found it and went loopy. The problem is it was made by skilled riders so if an unskilled rider had a go it would not have been good, as there were some blind drops/stepdowns. And some people are stupid and dont walk a track before they ride it, and then they will crash on it and then the venue will be lost for racing. I know thats not really telling the story, but the track has gone and jason from dragondownhill is trying to smooth things over with the F C to keep it as a race venue.
It happens everywhere, my local spot goes a bit nuts on what they build, and some stunts have been demolished but others nearby left alone. They dont mind some of the stuff but reel us back in if they think its going to far, same with some of the dirtjumpers when a spot gets to popular people notice and put a stop to it.....

Had a chat with someone else about abercarn and heres the facts.
Someone has tried to build a track there without permission, the F C are not happy with this and have stopped Dragon Downhill from racing there.
The illegal building is nothing to do with Dragon Downhill but they have taken the heat for it. The Dragon Downhill race track IS still there and ok, but for the time being it wont be used as a race venue.
As or when permisson to race again is granted it will be posted on the dragon site.
For the moment thats the end of this subject.

Just been on the dragon site and a uplift day at Abercarn is now ON for SATURDAY 22nd December, check with there site to make sure. SO hopefully the probs out there have now been sorted.
There you go Avril, when you foots not broken anymore. Oh and if you think i am being sarcastic i wont be going as i binned it big time at Rheola and am nursing a shoulder injury .

i wont be at the december one as no riding till after xmas but there is an abercarn uplift on the 9th feb so im gunna drag ben to that one

Abercarn in feb sounds good to me, should have the Team HTN race bike rolling by then and in need of a shakedown, don't get to excited as it's not quite Pimp my ride ( billys alpine special ) think more parts bin special but it should be good ???
