2008 Covert Unoffical Hardtail Champs

This year we will be Hijacking the Welsh Champs at Mynydd du on the 12/13 July. Any questions or chit chat use this thread. dirtydave will be posting a front page on this subject, but here are the basic's again.
To enter. Go to www.dragondownhill.co.uk and book into the HT cat for the Welsh Champs, this gains automatic entry to the HT Champs but the Unoffical Champs may not appear on the dragon site. Prices will be set on the dragon site for the Welsh Champs.
How it works. Easy, the fastest Welsh person down the hill gets the title of Welsh Champion ( even if they say come 3rd or 4th ) the unoffical title will be taken by the fastest person down the hill period ! got that.
As this is unoffical don't expect prize's although 1 2 3 will get a trophy.
The defending Champion is Nathan Ball ( welsh )

Rules and Regs will be those used by Dragondownhill and there say will be Final, again check there site for info.
BOOK early as the event has been capped at 250 racer's, once they hit 250 the event is closed. ( you have been warned, don't leave it to late ).
Post any question's here and if i can i will answer them.
Post any general chit chat here as well please and not a new thread.

Just had a small edit ! IT NOW STATES on the dragon site that there is to be NO camping at the venue, there are some campsites/pubs/hotels within a few miles of the venue, and no i dont have details of them.
This is to do with the 2 practice dates on Saturday 28 June and Sunday 6 July.
Camping for the race is OK, check the dragon site for info.

Ok it hasn't got to me yet, but i have had a chat with Cy the boss man at www.cotic.co.uk you know they make the Soul and B Fe hardtails from the finest 853 steel amongst several other hardtails.
Anyway Cy is going to send me some B Fe t'shirts for random prize giving at the Champs, which is of course very nice of them as they are unable to attend in person ( off to the Mega ) and he was going to post a link to the champs on the cotic site as well.
I may or may not be able to blag anything else, but it's nice to have some support from the Hardtail industry, and being the only company to reply so far means i can/will namedrop cotic whenever i can.

going there on saturday to check out the track, but might end up on the other bike as the HT took a beating, well one of the pedals is shagged now and the BB doesnt feel to good, Finchy is ment to be going so i might just rob parts off the other bike so he wont be the only HT there.

Yep Jason has started posting the list for Mynydd Du, so far there is 11 of us, and i know Ben Irons has just entered so thats 12, a few more are waiting untill the weekend to decide whether to go HT or stay in there age related susser cat. And with the Nice bit in MBUK this month, well if that doesnt bring anyone out i dont know what will, Ok for the over 18's there may be beer involved ( feel free to bring your own as the race is what you make it ) which did happen last year, and Nathan did seem to drink most of it, well he did win so who can blame him !
